Cavalleria plot

A cavalry officer loves a nobleman's daughter, but the girl marries a wealthy Austrian diplomat to save her father from bankruptcy. The officer devotes almost all his time passionately to horseback riding and becomes one of the most famous horsemen in Italy. A few years later in Rome he meets his old love again, but the circumstances do not allow them to start a relationship. When the officer's horse dies, the man decides to join the Air Force. Then the war breaks out.
