Wendy Walton is Boston's best designer, but no one knows it yet... Hoping to advance her career, she quits the local theater to take a job as the assistant to Priscilla Hall, its most prestigious designer from the city. One night she gets stuck in the elevator with a handsome stranger. Wendy and the mystery man leave each other with an impulsive, romantic kiss. The next day at work, the stranger is at the door again. It turns out it's Adam Hughes, a wealthy philanthropist and Mrs. Hall's lover.
