Urchin plot
"There's a paradise beneath New York City. Can you find it?"
Within the commune of Scum-City, a homeless encampment in the deep tunnels of Manhattan, technology and lighting are the determining factors in life. The inhabitants are convinced that their leader, a prophetic man and aptly called 'The Old Man' (Larry Swansen), comes from the redeeming paradise of Agharta, and will lead them through the underground catacombs and subway tunnels. A 9-year-old boy is recruited by 'The Old Man' to fulfill the final stages of his prophecy. Abused in his youth, The Kid (Sebastian Montoya) fled the streets after being affected by the fickleness of society. Growing up early, he survives by shrewdness and toughness. The Old Man will bring him hope and a future if he manages to complete his task. The Old Man's plans are thwarted by his former bodyguard and powerful dwarf named Goliath (Rick Poli) whose lungs and mind are rotting. Anticipating his untimely death, he's committed to killing innocents and getting hold of the map that The Old Man sees as crucial to survival.
