The Undercover Woman plot

Private detective and city girl Marcia Conroy is sent to a rural vacationer ranch to find evidence of a divorce case. Instead, Marcia gets involved in murder. The playboy Gregory Vixon, one of the holidaymakers, turns out to be murdered. According to local sheriff Don Long, none of the guests at the ranch can be identified as the prime suspect. Marcia and Don, who now has a crush on her, tries to track down the killer. The investigation is complicated because the collaboration between Marcia and Don does not run smoothly because of their different backgrounds. After all, Don comes from a small village and Marcia from the big city.
