The Trail of the Octopus plot

A satanic gang tries to obtain an ancient talisman from a professor for their own dark purposes. At the head of the gang is Zora Roularde. Meanwhile, Carter Holmes is busy tracking down and freeing the professor's kidnapped daughter, somewhere in the Far East. But as soon as he succeeds, the professor turns out to have been kidnapped again in Paris. Once there, they are also confronted by a deranged professor who has developed a laser gun to shoot at asteroids, causing them to crash into Earth...
