The Shadows plot

Stephen Grimes, a successful horror story writer, works feverishly to get his latest work done. In addition, he is under considerable pressure: he is in a divorce, his wife makes it as difficult as possible for him and he also has to stay out of the way of his meddling sister. His life is turned upside down when he accidentally hits a young man, Emett, one night. He takes him to the hospital and is strangely attracted to the boy.
