The Crimson Stain Mystery plot
Scientist Burton Montrose has developed a formula that he believes can turn normal people into geniuses. He tries it out on some test subjects, but to his horror they all become evil criminals. The resulting band of killers and thieves is led by the evil Pierre La Rue, better known as the Crimson Stain for his glowing, red-rimmed eyes. As a result, all of New York is terrorized by the gang. Detective Layton Parrish and journalist Harold Stanley, who swore revenge for his father's murder, go after them...
