Puritan plot

Simon Puritan is an alcoholic trickster and an unscrupulous flirt who makes a living by defrauding grieving relatives with his séances. His life takes a turn one night when he is rescued from an oncoming train by a mysterious stranger. Once rescued from certain death, the stranger disappears, only to reappear later in Puritan's house, horribly burned and ready to reveal an interesting agenda.
