Mystery of Marie Roget plot
"The Mystery-master's spine-clutching classic of the Phantom Mangler of Paris!"
Paris, 1842. Marie Roget is a popular entertainer in Paris. The unsympathetic Marie spends much of her time trying to get rid of her younger sister Camille. Not long afterwards, however, Marie also disappears and shortly afterwards the mutilated and unidentifiable corpse of a young woman appears. It's up to veteran private investigator Dr. Paul Dupin and his clumsy assistant Gobelin to collect all the clues to solve the murder case and disappearances. Madame Cecile Roget appears to be the prime suspect.
