"20,000 eyes looked - and no one saw!"
Opera singer Gino D'Acosta is about to perform at the Hollywood Bowl's open-air concert. But then he is warned by an Indian priest: Gino will die if he starts singing. That warning does indeed come true and he turns out to be murdered. Detective Steve Farrell then goes backstage looking for clues that could lead to the killer's identity.
