In My Father's Den plot
Due to the death of his father, war photographer Paul Prior returns from Europe to the town in New Zealand where his family lives. He decides to help his brother sell their father's house. When he enters the house after all these years, he also finds the secret outdoor room where his father withdrew and wrote. It turns out that a young girl occasionally uses the cottage to write. After initially sending her away, he comes back to this later when he takes a position at the local school and discovers her passion for writing.
