Variety Jubilee plot

Kit and Joe Swann are revue stars in the early 20th century. Kit's son was killed in World War I, but his son's sons keep the family tradition alive by reviving musical theatre. When World War II breaks out, the theater's popularity declines to the despair of the Burns and Swann families. The company continues to run into trouble when Kit and Evelyn's son, Kit Jr. is killed.
