Tosca plot

Floria Tosca, a singer, is in love with the painter Mario Cavaradossi. However, he is captured for allegedly sheltering Cesare Angelotti, a runaway prisoner. Baron Scarpia, police chief of Rome, in turn is in love with Tosca and blackmails her: he will free Cavaradossi if she gives herself to him.
