The Jacksons: An American Dream plot

Series that tells the true story of music history's most influential family, the Jacksons. The viewer is introduced to Joe Jackson, the tyrannical father of a large family, who often humiliated and abused his children. Later, however, Joe Jackson also recognized the talent of Marlon, Jermaine, Tito, Jackie and Michael. The Jacksons are followed on the long and hard road to success, from their first meeting with Diana Ross, the hits and conflicts between Michael and his brothers, to the reconciliation that resulted in a grandiose Victory Tour in 1984.
