The Cowboy from Sundown plot
"Tex goes on a rootin' tootin' shootin' rampage...to exterminate two-legged vermin from the range!"
The drought-stricken ranchers of Sundown are forced to sell their livestock at a loss to pay their arrears with banker Cylus Cuttler. To make matters worse, Sheriff Tex Rockett has been forced to quarantine livestock due to the foot-and-mouth disease outbreak. Steve Davis, despite the ban, brings his cattle to the train, forcing the sheriff to arrest him. Angry ranchers storm the prison. Davis breaks out of jail with the help of the banker's son. He tells Davis to kill the sheriff to help the ranchers.
