Shipmates Forever plot
"Hats Off To The Navy's 'Flirtation Walk' !"
Richard John 'Dick' Melville III watches the fleet enter and he also sees June Blackburn. Dick has no plans to join the Navy, despite this being a family tradition. June, who lost her father and brother in the navy, doesn't want a navy man. But Dick still gets the ghost when his father, Admiral Richard Melville, tells him he won't make it after all. Dick then reports to the 'Naval Academy'. The first year as a recruit is tough, but nevertheless Dick is at the head of his class. The final year includes three months of training that will make or break Dick as a Marine.
