Myrtle McKinley goes to school in San Francisco. However, she ends up in a dance group. There she is discovered by Frank Burt. He hires her for a duo act. They soon form a private couple and get married. And then the necessary marital troubles, children and later the growing pains of the eldest daughter Miriam.
