Jy Is My Liefling plot

Willie Willeboer, a dull young journalist, loses his job. He decides to write a book and ends up at the Bosparadys game farm, owned by Oubaas du Toit and his beautiful daughter Ans. Willie rescues a baby baboon from a cheetah, names him Fielies, and the two become inseparable. Willie finds a diamond in the field. He hides the stone, not realizing that it was deliberately thrown from a plane by thieves who realized that the stone has magical powers. The criminals attack Willie, but when Fielies is hit by a bullet, the fuses blow and Willie overpowers the thieves. When Willie hands in the thieves and the diamond to the police, his bad luck suddenly turns into enormous happiness: Ans returns his love and Fielies wakes up from a coma.
