Heaven Stood Still: The Incarnations of Willy DeVille plot

Documentary portraying the life and music of a unique artist, who has received far too little recognition both alive and posthumously for his unique position within the traditional American music of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. DeVille sold a million records in Europe in his 35-year career with hits like Spanish Stroll, Hey Joe, You Better Move On, Demasiado Corazon. He was nominated for an Academy Award for the theme song of the movie 'Princess Bride', performed on all major stages in Europe, but remained almost completely unknown in his homeland.
