Die Landstreicher plot

The drifter Fliederbusch and his wife Berta are imprisoned in a small town courthouse. They try to escape and make it to the courtroom. Fliederbusch sees a counselor's robes and dons it just as the owner of the clothes, Prince Adolar, appears. He had to be present for a case involving a stolen jewel. Fliederbusch takes out the man, locks him in a cell and flees with his Berta.
