"RAGTIME RHYTHMS! TOPS IN ENTERTAINMENT!"

At the turn of the century, crooked con man Eddie Johnson lands a job at Joe Rocco's Coney Island establishment. Eddie meets the star of the club, Kate, a daring singer. He manages to make her a star and they fall in love, but Joe wants to stop that.
