Cavalleria Rusticana plot

The Easter bells have barely blown over the Sicilian village when the most terrible scenes are played out. The unwanted pregnant Santuzza curses her untrustworthy lover Turrid with the words: A te la Mala Pasqua, spergiuro (A cursed Easter to you, traitor!). Moments later, Turrid is stabbed in a duel.
