Mick Ronson (26 May 1946 – 29 April 1993) was an English guitarist and music producer who rose to fame as the guitarist for David Bowie and was a member of his backing band The Spiders from Mars during his Ziggy Stardust period. After the dissolution of The Spiders from Mars in 1973, Ronson and Bowie would remain friends for a long time. The musical collaboration with Mick Ronson is regarded as one of the most productive periods in David Bowie's long career.
