At the turn of the century, a family with eccentrics lives in a country house. Anastasia, the beautiful owner of the house, enjoys the loving attention she receives from her stepson Blarney. She does this so openly that her husband, Diapanasius, picks up a gun and shoots her dead. The rest of the family accepts this murder as if it were the most natural thing in the world, but soon her ghost returns to meddle in their personal lives.
