The Horror Vault plot
"Nine tales of human cruelty, nine tales of human depravity, nine tales of true horror."
An anthology of nine short stories. In "When John Met Julia" John picks up a hitchhiker who was abandoned by her boyfriend along a deserted road. However, one of them has less attractive intentions. "Delusion" is about a young man who returns to his sister, but hides a secret. His paranoia soon turns to madness. In "Alone", a detective knocks on the door of a frat house to announce that a murder has been committed in the area. He asks the young manageress to accompany him to the police station, but she does not trust him. In "Mental Distortion", a man has had a bad day. When he wakes up in the morning, however, it is even worse: he finds his wife dead in the bath. There is also "Dead To The World" in which Ted Bundy molests a number of girls and then willingly has an interview with the police himself. "Disconnected" is the story of a man who wakes up and is tied to a chair in an unknown place. Things get worse when he finds that he hears his wife screaming for help in the next room. "The Demon" is about someone who leaves his bathroom only to find himself in a medieval dungeon. In "Echoes," a man wakes up in a clinic and finds himself handcuffed to his bed. When a nurse enters the room, an even bigger nightmare begins for him. The anthology closes with "Retina", a tale of far-flung madness.
