Michael arrives in Berlin to visit his ex-girlfriend Gabi. At this very moment, a terrible virus is spreading rapidly throughout the city, turning all the infected into violent maniacs. To Michael's horror, Gabi is not at home. He meets Harper, who is working in the apartment complex.
