"What would you do to bring back the one you love?"

Europe, late 19th century. Janick is a brilliant but doomed young doctor in a town suffering from the Plague. His radical theories about life and death make him an outsider. Shortly after Janick disappears, Esmeralda falls ill, and dies without his help. When a masked figure exhumes her corpse, he takes it to a remote house where he conducts a number of experiments. Esmeralda wakes up in her new, living body and re-learns all the simple things in life: walking, eating, dancing, all under the watchful eye of her mysterious savior. But then she begins to wonder what his motive is for all this...
