Alessio Rinaldi, a 25-year-old director, is tasked with writing a script and filming it together with Ubaldo Terzani, a well-known horror writer. Alessio moves in with Ubaldo for an easier collaboration. As he gets longer and longer, he gets to see a darker side of Ubaldo. He also has increasingly sickening nightmares about murders at night. Alessio thinks it has something to do with Ubaldo's strange behavior and investigates.
