Midnight's Child plot

An American couple hires the services of an au pair, a Swedish girl. From the moment she arrives, everything goes wrong. At first they are accidents of a domestic nature, but soon the events take a dramatic turn. The mother suspects that the girl has demonic powers, but her husband smiles and dismisses her objections and refuses to fire the au pair. Until slowly but surely the truth about the au pair comes to light.
