Nothing new under the sun. At least, if you put it next to the previous parts (/other work by Necrostorm). But when I compare it with ''similar'' (read: gore) work within the genre, it still stands alone. What gold they have in their hands. That whole gamified approach is a bull's eye. In a first person perspective, the wisecracking protagonist shoots and hacks through the hellish scum. The setup is classic FPS style: with more and more weapons that you can upgrade (at an NPC, the alchemist) and your own set of rules about the effects of the kills (enchantments and ammunition for example). Again packed with effects and editing tricks, because, like all their productions, a lot still needs to be done in post production. All those transitions, camera shakes, jumpcuts for the gore.... so much finery. And more importantly: only for the fans.
