Hiroku Kaibyô-den plot

1729, Japan. Lord Tangonokami Nabeshime of Saga Prefecture has a crush on Sayo, the sister of a blind monk. However, the monk refuses to accept this interest and he is killed for this. Sayo is forced to leave Saga, but kills herself and asks the cat Toma to lick her blood as she dies. This gives the cat supernatural powers to take revenge.
