Not bad. This film had quite a few scary moments, the killings were pretty good and the end - the birthday party I even thought was sublime. I immediately thought of that birthday party in the movie The Loved Ones (2009). Of course, the film also had the weak points such as the hazy story and how could it be otherwise the American prudishness. Bloody murders are possible, but a naked lady in the shower is of course never possible. Fie! The film also lasted a bit long; 90 minutes is actually long enough for such a movie.
Rating: 3.5* thanks to the strong ending.

A film with many different thoughts. The film has quite a few positive elements such as atmosphere, nice kills and a surprising ending that you don't see coming. But the plot also falls stitches despite the fact that the story captivated me. For example, the family bond is approached very vaguely and the twist at the end is far-fetched and unbelievable. Just that the voice and attitude would be the same. But oh well....it was surprising and the concept was presented nicely. 6/10

A slasher that goes loosely with a plot that combines trauma with a totally unexpected finale. The final twist was apparently written into the script during production and was not their first intention. The film lacks any credibility, but the seriousness with which it is presented makes up for that in a pleasant way. Also an added value is the presence of Hollywood legend Glenn Ford in the role of Dr. faraday. Just before he gets thumbed, he's in chiaroscuro lighting as in one of his old noir films.
In terms of suspense, there could have been a bit more, but I've seen worse.
