Festival of the Living Dead plot

It's been over fifty years since the undead suddenly came to life and started attacking people. The horrific event has become the subject of morbid nostalgia, which is why the Festival of the Living Dead is organized. Ash, who has been accepted into college, prepares to reluctantly leave her old life behind. Her boyfriend arranges tickets for the festival, but the festivities are disrupted by an explosion of radioactive space dust. Ash will soon have to defend herself if she doesn't want to be devoured by the new living dead.

A serious lack of risk is the downfall of this zombie film by sisters Jen and Sylvia Soska, who have done much better and more daring horror projects in the past. Festival of the Living Dead is more of a tame project with a lack of effective bloodshed and pace. Shot blandly and devoid of highlights, but fortunately the first half hour is quite fast and the acting is generally good. The Soskas have at least made an attempt to give the characters a distinctive and deep character and try to increase the scale during the final phase, but the painful revelation is that it is not all that interesting.
