Herma Frigg, a pregnant woman fleeing a bad relationship, becomes possessed when she puts on a magic ring she finds in the basement of the house she's been babysitting. Plagued by strange dreams, Herma sleepwalks to the home of Peter O'Neill, a young horror film fan who lives next door. As Herma's body changes and her mind deteriorates, and Peter deals with family drama, these visits lead to an unusual bond between the two. But can Peter find a way to help Herma escape her predicament and save her unborn baby?
