Dracula 2000, on the DVD is 2002 and the movie itself gives the year 2001. Marketing apparently not communicating with itself. Apart from that, the result is a vampire movie in terms of idea is nice to bring more spice into a vampire movie. Unfortunately, we have become more used to films like Blade of Underworld by now. Gerard Butler remains an actor who puts his typical accent in every character he brings, which gives a bizarre result. The angle of the film with Judas as Dracula is liked. Furthermore, the film runs well, but it remains no more than the umpteenth Dracula film without unfortunately the well-known charm. Nice for lovers of horror / horror fanatics who like a vampire movie, but it is certainly not a hit.

Dracula 2000 in itself is a nice film to watch once, but this film is not really brilliant.

The beginning is by far the best part of the film. It's all made exciting and mysterious with a bunch of burglars who are going to steal something, but don't know what they are going to steal. Of course they seem to have stolen our great friend Dracula……

Gerard Butler plays Dracula and he's not doing very well right now. Butler comes across as an angry model. Butler doesn't come across as a vampire. Butler has nothing threatening about him in this film. Butler's acting isn't exactly anything to write home about. Fortunately, the rest of the acting of the cast is a bit better, although the acting is nowhere really very high-quality.

I actually like the idea that Dracula is actually Judas. A nice plot twist that you don't expect. I did enjoy myself with this movie. The film is fast paced and has some nice action moments.

The music in this film is a bit too emphatic and sounds uninspired. Still, the music fits the movie nicely.

All in all, I think this is a bit of a mediocre film. In itself, this film is entertaining to watch, but this film is just not worth enough.

2.5 stars for this movie.

Genre timepiece. Gerard Butler with long curly locks in a somewhat strange semi-erotic modern Dracula variant. Good for two sequels, both again by Patrick Lussier. Apparently reasonably received (or at least seen enough...) at the time. Today only worth watching for those who have some nostalgia for films that are typical of this period. Still had a strange sense of 'cool', but thanks to some well-known headlines and an entertaining plot, it all goes in the right direction. Not very uplifting and a tad too long, but ''secretly'' nevertheless entertaining and since the sequels here have been gathering dust on disc for a long time… they should give it a try!
