Doat Hon plot
Thuc is a sympathetic police officer from Vietnam. Ai, one of his nieces, drowns in the river. But when Thuc goes to identify the presumed dead girl in the morgue, she turns out to be very much alive. So he drops her neatly at her house. He does not tell her parents and sister that she should have been dead. The drowned Ai turns out to have strange, evil, spiritual gifts. “Captured by the spirit of a lost soul,” is the local shaman's diagnosis. Her sister Chi does not give up and visits the village where Ai was found. She had better not have done that, for what vengeful spirits does she not bring home like this!
