"Evil needs an audience"

The Sackett family, consisting of the parents and their three children, is attacked and slaughtered in their own home by an intruder. A year later, a group of students move into the family's house. They are supposed to work on an important project, but the students are also eager to identify the killer in order to ensure justice. They decide to act out the murders and broadcast them on their website.
