London, the 1960s. Hedonist Dorian Gray has a self-portrait painted and becomes so captivated by his self-image that he wishes to be immortal. His wish is granted and suddenly Dorian seems to possess the secret of eternal youth. Strangely enough, he does age in the portrait painted by his friend, and after each sin he commits, his portrait ages again.
