Jay and Beth, a couple, camp in the woods to celebrate Beth's first year of cancer-free life. Beth is weaker than she was after the intensive treatments, but insists they continue, conquering rocky slopes to capture another important memory. While camping, they are met with nightmares, strange noises, and a slimy substance. After Jay steps into a bear trap, they meet a reclusive trapper named Quinn. The somewhat strange man claims that there is a monster in the woods that wants their skin.
