The inhabitants of Ireland's Six Mile Hill have been terrifying each other for decades by telling urban legends. Central to this is an ancient demon that is out for blood and lurks beneath the territory. When a team, led by a man and his son, starts working on a pipeline, it unintentionally awakens the tormentor.
