So, just back from the cinema and I have to say that it was a wonderful movie night that gave me back a nostalgia for the old Alien films. The film needs a little run-up, but once in space the film gradually develops into an exciting monster movie in which the Xenomorph can strike again in a maze of corridors. There are a few great scenes in the film such as the various Facehuggers that launch the attack or what do you think of the scene with gravity and the Xenomorphs. And the scene that follows with the acid is cleverly thought out. As icing on the cake, you get fantastic entertainment in the end that you may or may not enjoy. In any case, the end provides tension and still a bit of an original approach. The creature looks scary. This film therefore goes back more to Alien and has a touch of Aliens and Alien Resurrection in store for the viewer. Topper! 9/10

I think most of it has already been written, but I will just give my own opinion.

Beautiful film set. Beautiful images.

I hate children's movies no matter how good they are. Madmax 3 last part. Indeed hungergames_scheiss (Singing movies and musicals are even worse)

In my opinion the story was reasonably well put together.

But what I really miss in the comments is that the makers really looked closely at the forgotten top game after Alien & Aliens... namely the game Alien Isolation 2014. I miss this one in everyone's list, which shows that people don't know about its existence.

I can only say that as a true Alien fan it is a loss in your upbringing.

Around 10 euros on G2A.

I had a great time at the cinema and will watch it again soon via Kodi.

I was watching the movie with a big smile on my face, but then that ending. Ridley Scott can't keep his hands off it. Thank God he didn't sit in the director's chair this time. The man is going demented. The next movie Scott should have nothing to do with it

The rest of the film is a love letter to the Alien films and the game Alien Isolation. That itself is a big influence. The way the doors open, the abandoned space station, the Android that gets other instances/assignments, the stun weapon. Fede is a gamer. The protagonists are young and that is often a reason for irritations as in most horror films of recent years. But I didn't have that for a moment. I thought the relationship between Rain and Andy came across as strong and credible. Bjorn was cliché, but didn't irritate.

Alvarez knows how to make an absolute great movie with nail-biting moments like the face hugger Chase scene. But then I come back to that ending where I said out loud "what is this now" spoilers**** Why did the pregnant woman have to take that injection. A male alien, really... It was so good and then they always have to give it a twist. I didn't see it coming and I was really deeply disappointed. But still I give the movie four stars because about 100/105 min top sci-fi and finally get a worthy Alien sequel/reboot.

So much better than Covenant & Prometheus

Two opinions, one new to the franchise and one from a superfan who also reads the books.

1: nice movie to watch, you get exactly what you hope for.

The action starts quickly, the characters are great and the action scenes are exciting and inventive every time. Exciting until the end!

2: As a fan, my friend saw a lot of little Easter eggs, jokes and points that come back in later films. He puts it as the best film after the first two films.

In short: This film delivers a claustrophobic film where the tension slowly builds up to action scenes that are only possible with this franchise.
