This B-movie must have been written in one evening under the influence of certain substances. Otherwise I can't explain the ridiculous scenario.

The standard elements of a low-budget film are present. Woody acting, little to no tension, slow narration without anything really happening, but full of the necessary cliché.

Then the story goes completely off track, making it difficult to take the whole thing seriously. Don't let this film pass you by. *1.5

Why does Netflix continue to serve such a weak film offering, almost everything that comes out new in films, especially when it comes to horror and thrillers, is so poor to dramatically bad, real non-films, where you always wonder how the greatest streaming service of the world, continues to make such crap (or links its name to such films) on an assembly line. This is again lame crap, painfully slow and unworthy of horror, after an hour I hadn't seen anything interesting, pure sleep aid. Good advice, skip it and watch a good series on Netflix.

Aftermath is not as bad as some people would have you believe. The film is quite atmospheric and contains a number of exciting moments that are expertly filmed and do not rely on (false) jump scares. I really enjoy that, even though the film does have some jump scares. But no cats jump out of cupboards or other junk to create a false jump scare. The house feels nice and creepy and I have little to say about the professionalism displayed at Aftermath.

In terms of script, the film contains just too many moments that can understandably irritate people. Hubby keeps not believing Mrs, even though someone is standing in front of the bedroom door being creepy. And Greene's character seems to reset every night, because after every traumatic event she sits alone in the house the next evening, pretending nothing has happened. Things like that do cause irritation, but fortunately the tension afterwards makes up for a lot.

2.5*
