The Phenix City Story plot
"ALABAMA'S CITY OF SIN AND SHAME!"
The town of Phenix City, Alabama, has been gripped by a crime syndicate, and prostitution and gambling are rampant, partly to the delight of the soldiers in the barracks across the river. Horrified by all this crime, defense attorney John Patterson, just back from the military, launches a plan to put his father in legal custody. The syndicate responds with a wave of brutal violence.
