The Piper plot

Liz and her daughter Amy move to the German city of Hamelin. Liz starts working there as a history teacher. The annual parade of the Pied Piper of Hamelin is celebrated the day after their arrival. Soon after, Liz starts having visions of rat infestations and Amy hallucinates about fleas in her bed. Mother and daughter separately learn the truth behind the legend of the Pied Piper of Hamelin, who is a cruel and vengeful minister of harsh justice. He punishes the adults who get away with crimes by taking their children away.
