Acri plot
Oceanographer Sakoda (Tatsuya Fuji), a professor at an Australian university, has been banned from teaching further because he presented his theory on the "missing-link problem" at a scientific meeting in Japan. His theory is that man is descended from the mermaid. One of his students, Hisoka (Tadanobu Asano), experienced something miraculous when he and his girlfriend Acri (Kimika Yoshino) were shipwrecked and only rescued ten days later. Nobody knows what happened in those ten days; even Hisoka doesn't remember anything about it. Marine journalist Haoka (Yosuke Eguchi) searches for an explanation. Is it luck or does it have more to do with ocean creatures with special powers?
