Zoo plot
The father of eleven-year-old Martina (Argento) pays almost no attention to her because he is a night watchman. She escapes reality by going to the zoo in the evening, where her only friends, the animals, live. Like her, she is trapped in a system that she wants to escape. She meets a fourteen-year-old boy (Parente) who has run away from home.
