Zafir plot
About a year ago, Anna's 11-year-old sister (Rose Marie Hermannsen) passed away in a strange way after being shed from Zafir. Zafir is a beautiful black stallion. Anna dreams of one day riding Zafir herself, but her parents are terrified at the idea. Zafir can only be ridden by a very experienced rider and Anna's parents fear that the same fate awaits her as her sister. It seems that Zafir doesn't allow anyone on his back at all and he spends his days lonely in his stable, while Anna's parents try to decide what to do with him. One day, the horse flees, but is soon brought back by Sharbat (Katrine Schnoor), a young refugee living in a refugee camp. Sharbat seems to have an almost magical influence on Zafir, who turns out to listen to her perfectly.
