Tomboy and the Champ plot
"She's the pig-tailed pride of the Texas plains."
A young girl from Texas has polio. She keeps herself strong because of her pet: a calf. She takes the calf in a competition in Chicago. The calf wins the competition, but the girl discovers that the calf will be sold to a slaughterhouse. At the hands of a friendly meat packer, she and the calf are reunited.
