The Silent Call plot
After rancher Clark Moran is called to town, his faithful dog, Flash, whose parents were a gray wolf and a sheepdog, becomes lonely and returns to the wilderness. Back in the countryside, several sheep have been killed, and suspicion falls on Flash. When a jury of ranchers sentences him to execution, Flash flees to the mountains and encounters a wolf named Silver.
