"The enchanting story of a magic tree that made a prisoner of Santa Claus and opened the heart of a boy to the true meaning of Christmas"

A late afternoon in a small town during Halloween. Three boys walk past a scary, ugly house that is said to be haunted. One boy gathers his courage and walks into the garden. He is suddenly grabbed by the arm by an old woman, but it turns out that she only wants to ask him to get her cat out of the tree. He succeeds, but he falls from the tree himself. When he wakes up, the ugly house is a beautiful mansion and the old man is a beautiful young woman. He gets from her a magic ring with a seed in it. From that seed a Christmas tree will grow and then the boy may make three wishes...
